Realised that last comment mightn’t make sense without seeing the problem itself – here it is. The problem is that the felt at the top (and back) of the roof isn’t long enough for the straight, horizontal front-to-back solution I think I’d prefer… I’d welcome any opinions you may have.

I would go with B and use the felt from the front overhang on the back – of course that’s all with the assumption that I had any DIY skills at all and believed i had any skills in the area at all.

Go with the one which you prefer, irrespective of the annoyance levels – you will be seeing it every day and if you go for anything else, you’ll rue the decision.
Id go for the Orange line. Theres a leisure development using cedar planks around here

But the planks follow the roof line rather than horizontally. Just my two penneth
